Information for parents and carers
For information or support for a child up to the age of 19, please contact the CHAT Family Information Service for more help.
See below for national services and helplines or look in our publications library for resources and parents of 13 - 19 year olds (or up to age 25 for those with learning difficulties or difficulties).
If you are a young person between 16 – 19 and you are either pregnant or have a child, either contact one of our Go For It Centres to speak to a Youth Adviser.
If you and your child have need of support from a local agency or organisation, you may hear about the Common Assessment
Framework (or CAF) which is a new
way of working with children
and young people. It involves
listening to you and your child
to find out your child’s needs,
and what is working well in
your child’s life. To find out more, download this CAF leaflet for parents.
