Qualification for pregnant teenagers and young parents

Parenting qualifications are aimed at pregnant teenagers and young parents combining the acclaimed Young Mums To Be (YMTB) and Parents With Prospects training programmes - taking learners through the journey of pregnancy and the early years of a child’s life.

The qualifications are mapped to the Qualifications and Credit Framework, which offers learners the flexibility to gain credits as they work their way through units. These build towards full qualifications at Award or Certificate level. For more information visit YMTB.

Functional Skills

Functional skills in English, Maths and IT are available to all young people in full-time education who are at school, college or in work based learning. You may need to gain functional skills so that you can increase and develop your ability when looking for a job.

Study skills

Handling all the work you get from school can be daunting, especially when you start to approach exam time. Try looking at the BBC Schools pages to help you manage your work and learn it as effectively as possible.
