Jargon Buster

The Jargon Buster is aimed at practitioners working in a multi-agency setting and who, because of their work, are required to share information with each other.

The jargon buster aims to:

• Clarify definitions of words and terms commonly confused or misunderstood
• Highlight and explain some of the relevant legislation
• Explain what the acronyms mean

Please remember however that whilst every attempt has been made to maintain the jargon buster as an accurate document it should not be regarded as definitive for other definitions may be equally valid.

Should anyone wish to submit a “jargon buster word” then they are invited to do so by using the Information Sharing Feedback Form or to one of the Contacts.
