Jobcentre Plus

Looking for employees over the age of 18?

Jobcentre Plus can help you fill your vacancies with the most suitable candidates. Through 22 local offices the national recruitment service and Job Centre Plus offers a comprehensive vacancy filling service giving you access to local, national and international candidates.
As well as putting you in touch with potential applicants over the age of 18, Jobcentre Plus can issue and sift application forms, provide local interview facilities and recruitment events and undertake initial screening interviews.

Jobcentre Plus offers a rapid response service to support businesses who are making redundancies. They can help support people to find new employment as soon as possible. The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) also offers redundancy support to businesses.

Learning and Skills Council (LSC)

England has to become better skilled and more competitive. We need a workforce that is of world-class standards. It is the LSC’s goal to improve the skills of young people and adults, and to help employers get the training and skills they need for their business.

The LSC works with the further education sector and private training providers to make sure training is of the highest quality and meets the needs of employers and local people.

The LSC has a network of approved training providers delivering Apprenticeships for young people keen to learn specialist skills while working and for employers keen to cultivate fresh skilled staff.
Their network of Colleges of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) plus the emerging Action for Business standard are some of the results of their work to improve quality and provision.
